I spent a delightful afternoon chasing Barns in southern Ohio today.
This one caught me by surprise as I was driving along the Ohio River in Brown County and I passed it by at first, but a quick u-turn fixed that.
There’s a used car lot across the street that was closed at the time and I unceremoniously parked there and considered this Barn from a distance before crossing US 52 and climbing the rather steep hill up to this Barn.
Somehow, coming into this region, I knew that this one would be in good shape—there seemed to be an emphasis on history and tourism as I drove toward the Barn’s location.
Where to view and visit: 6538 US 52, Ripley is a used car lot that could be used to stop briefly. The Barn faces south across US 52 and there is a private drive leading up the hill to the Barn from this address (38.72406, -83.82971).
